We had a wonderful visit in Florence at the Loggiato Dei Serviti at the end of May 2011. It's a fantastic location; just a short walk to the Duomo, The David and many shops and other attractions. Our rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and well appointed with wonderful, stately antique furniture. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. They gave us excellent advice and restaurant recommendations. We would definitely stay at this hotel, again.

The hotel has "old world" charm with high ceilings and spacious rooms furnished with rather massive old renaisance style furniture. If you are looking for modernity, this is not the place. However, if you like living with history and period furniture, when this is the place. It is not expensive!
My partner stayed at this hotel ten years ago soon after it had undergone a major renovation. He and his friends loved it. During the last decade it has become a little worn and is now somewhat "shabby, almost chic". We did, inspite of my comments like the hotel and would return.

we were placed in the hotel annex which is in need of overhaul and repair. In main hotel is probably nicer but the annex leaves alot to be desired. In addition the city soup kitchen is next to the hotel so you need to keep an eye out for ______________.

Magnificent Renaissance building in sublimely beautiful square within sight of Duomo. A really unique place to stay that feels like steppping back into past. We had two large and quiet rooms with handsome antiques and comfortable beds. Excellent air conditioning. Helpful staff.
Bathrooms a little old and faded and baths too small for those of ample girth. Although squre in front of hotel very beautiful it seems to attract many beggars.

The ambiance was fabulous. Monastical, well built and private. Just as Rick Steves had recommended, beautiful piazza, breakfast very nice. I wish we could have controlled the temperature in the room better, a bit warm and difficulty figuring out where the cool air was going.... so this caused the room to be stuffy....

Great location near major attractions.
The room had no chair to sit on, and the bed was too high for comfort. I had to request a chair from the reception. I struggled to find a suitable place for my suitcase.

enjoy charming views and easy access to florentine landmarks
Waking up to the enchanting views of the Duomo and indulging in a delicious breakfast, I found the hotel to be perfectly situated just a few steps from both the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and the vibrant Piazza della Signoria for easy exploration of the city's charm. While the rooms were clean and had a personal touch, the plumbing did have its quirks typical of an older building.

I have stayed several times before as it is a beautiful hotel in a geat location in Florence. Wonderful breakfast and nice staff.
The triple room we had was just really a double room with an extra sofa made into a bed for the thrird person. Little view and space. Very cramped bathroom with leaking rad and sink not draining. I felt for the price it was not really good value.
